Step 1 – About HSFOL

Read this section on the website for a general overview before proceeding.

Step 2 – Register An Administrator Account

Have Sum Fun Online allows parents and teachers to purchase competitions, manage user accounts, competitor/team names, and assign competitions to users.

The first step in the process is to purchase competitions, by clicking the Register button in the top right hand corner of the home page.

Select the competition you would like to purchase eg. student at home or school team for the required year level, along with the number of students or teams you would like to enter into the respective competition.

Please note, teachers will need to enter the school name when they get to the checkout page.  This will ensure your team results are assigned against the correct school.

Once your order has been processed, you will receive several emails, including an important email with your administrator username and password for logging in to the site. Please keep this email somewhere safe for future reference.

Be mindful to check your junk/spam mailbox if they don’t show up in your inbox.

Step 3 – Competitors and Competitions

Click on the Dashboard button in the top right hand corner.  If you can’t see the Dashboard button, you may need to log in using your administrator username and password.  Once on the Dashboard, click Manage User Accounts.

On this page, you can provide a competitor/team name, a username to log in with, and a password.  Competitor/team names and login usernames need to be unique, and an alert will appear if a competitor/team name or login username is already taken.

Once you have created your first competitor/team name, click Select Your Course under Manage Licences.  You will see the competitions you have purchased, and the number of licences for that competition waiting to be assigned.  Then, select the competitor/team name you would like to assign that competition to.  Click Assign Licence.

You can now provide the username and password you created to the competitors/teams, who can now log in.

Step 4 – Start Competing

Ask your competitors/teams to browse to the Have Sum Fun Online website, and click Login in the top right hand corner.

Competitors/teams can then click My Competitions, where they will see a list of competitions that have been assigned.

Remind competitors/team that once they click “Start Quiz,” the timer starts and it cannot be stopped.  The competitor/team entry will be submitted automatically either after all questions are answered, or the timer expires.

The timer will continue to run even if the browser window is closed or the page is refreshed.
